Cutest lil' Charger fan of all time....

I am sorry, I just had to post some pics of Cannon in his San Diego Chargers sweatshirt that he got for Christmas. Poor little guy didn't know what he was getting himself into having me as a mother. I am a HUGE sports freak. I have my teams and I make it known which teams that I love. I named him Cannon hoping that it was "athletic" enough sounding, and even practiced saying "Now batting....#11....Cannon (insert last name here)" before he was born. His room is 100% classic baseball and I am ALWAYS encouraging him to throw things (most moms try to get their kids NOT to throw in the house).

Back to topic, the pictures- here is a future LaDainian Tomlinson (RB for the Chargers) (and here is just a random pic of Cannon being cute and saying "cheeeese!"

Sledding!

While we were busy getting POUNDED with a few feet of snow, Cannon has been busy going stir crazy indoors. When the weather was finally good enough to take him outside without fear of him blowing a way into a 6 foot snow drift, we bundled him up and put him to work. He watched us as we cleared our driveway and walk ways. A kind neighbor from a few streets back drove by on his 4 wheeler plow thingy and helped Brian clear our driveway (and cut out about 2 hours of work). Cannon and I sat back while he kept saying "wow! a tractor" which actually sounded like "wow-a- tac-to." Here are some pics from our fun little snow day. (here is an au-natural mommy trying to keep Cannon warm in the car)

Our wonderful neighbors, Mark and Daphne, borrowed Cannon and myself for some sledding time. We have this amazing hill by our house, and they had family in from Arizona and California who wanted to experience the snow first hand. Daphne's sister has a little boy only a few days younger than Cannon, so we thought it would be so much fun for them to sled and play. Cannon loves sledding soooo much! (Here is Cannon on Marks head, sledding with Daphne and Jonas, and then sledding with Mark. He also made his was up the big hill all by himself!)

Two Blogs In One Day?

Yep that's right! Its my turn to do a blog, and since I was busy working, I didn't have time to post a blog like I wanted to and surprise the love of my life. So here is my shoddy Happy Anniversary Blog!
The Things I love about Lauren-
1. She lets me do what I want, when I want (most of the time)
2. She loves movies almost as much as I do
3. Lauren can cook with the best of them (and thats why I'm fat, its not the gallons of Mountain Dew I drink a day)
4. Wee Wee!
5. Although I hate animals, I love the way she talks to them
6. She puts up with my gas!
7. She gave me the greatest little boy in the world... Love ya Buh Buhs!
8. She can beat me up, its scary and sexy at the same time...weird
9. She loves sushi
10. She's funny, but only when she not trying to be
11. She tells me every present that I get for Christmas and Birthdays
12. She pays the bills
13. She is a great mother
14. Shes everything I wanted in a wife.
15. She actually puts up with me (I know, she's either crazy or Mother Teresa)
16. She really doesn't love Edward as much as me
17. She told me she hated me when I proposed (It had nothing to do with getting her arrested)
18. She pushes me to dream and backs me up on those dreams when they are in the clouds
19. She stills loves me even though I'm fat
20. She lets me control the radio
21. She has stayed with with me for the four most incredible years of my life!

So thats it, I could go on and on ,but I won't bore you anymore.
I LOVE YOU LAUREN!!!!!! HAPPY ANNIVERSARY

Happy Anniversary!

Why I love My Brian-

-He loves to snuggle as a family

-He loves to eat my cooking, and I love to cook for him

-He has the prettiest blue eyes (and he passed them on to our offspring!!!)

-He has a cute butt! (except when it talks)

-He is very helpful, and actually enjoys watching Cannon while I do softball 3 nights a week for "me time"

-He is hilarious and we have soo many inside jokes!

-His is so spiritual and smart

-He gets annoyed but still lets me ask questions and talk during movies

-He didn't pass out during my c-section (though he did make a comment about how tired and uncomfortable he was in the pull out bed at the hospital, while I was in labor for over 20 hours with no sleep or food in me and a failed epidural- so I felt EVERYTHING)

-He would get up with me at 3 am and give Cannon a bottle so that I could pump after nursing

-HE ADMITS THAT I AM RIGHT 99% of the time!!! Wow!

-We love the same shows, same music, same taste in food and decorating, and have the same family goals

-He lets me be obsessed with Twilight, and only complains about it a little
-He is a wonderful father and a sweet heart of a husband.

Thank you for putting up with me for 4 years! I love you and I am really thankful for all that you do!

love
Lauren
(ps- We obviously don't look this hot anymore, but let me post pictures of how attractive we used to be! This is how we look in my head, not the mirror) :)

Oh the weather outside is frightful.....

....but my Cannon's so delightful, because he loves it sooo
let it snow, let it snow, let it snowwwww
The winter is ALWAYS a hard time for kiddo's. My over-active little one hates being cooped up in the house all day. In order to make his winter fun, we have started doing lots of little outings to help break up the long day and cold weather. Now I am not a spendy mom. I do not have the time, patience or money to run errands all day to keep Cannon busy. Instead, we make fun little outings to McDonald's, Chick-fil-A, and Arctic Circle. They have great little play area's, and it is super cheap to drop a few bucks on a happy meal or ice cream (I only do this 1-2 days a week). Other fun activities include trips to the mall to play in the kids area. Cannon LOVES this. He loves to chase the kids, and its nice to walk him around the mall afterwards and ride the carousel. We also have finger painting, chalk, train tracks, and his trike set up in the basement. Another fun activity we have enjoyed is going to our local library. They have Love Sac's, stuffed animals and tons of books! They also do a story time. Cannons FAVORITE activity to do in the snow is the hardest. He loves to play in it. I talked to my pediatrician who said that if he is bundled properly, there is no reason why I shouldn't let Cannon explore the cold tundra's of our yard. Well thanks to great grandma Watson, Cannon has a darling little snow suit. We bundle him extra warm with lots of layers, gloves, jackets, rain boots, double socks, and a fleece beanie. We've had a blast outside in the snow! We were throwing snowballs at the garage door, and then again at daddy when he got home from work :) After playing in the cold, we venture inside for warm cocoa, dinner, and a nice bath. Then once we get ready for bed, we turn down the lights and put on Cars, Nemo or Wall-E and eat 100 calorie popcorn baggies and snuggle under the blanket!
What a fun little winter this has turned out to be!

I am going to sign Cannon up for a toddler music class next month and then a mommy and me swimming class come February! My job as a stay at home mom is to try to keep my child happy and busy, especially during the cold months of winter :)

If anyone has more fun winter tips, let me know! We plan on seeing the lights at Temple Square and Thanksgiving Point too. We are always up for more fun!
(ps- in this pic he said "cheeeeese"

Cannon and Madeline

Ok, this video is hilarious! We went down and visited our Provo Pals/ ex-Novell co-workers :) I love hanging out with Diana and Jennie! It brings back lots of memories of eating at the HD and Quarter Ends. Diana's little girl is 4 months younger than Cannon, and I swear they are going to get married one day. Cannon is so in love with Madeline. He plays with her so different then everyone else. He tries to hug her, kiss her, and he actually SHARES toys with her (I know, my jaw has dropped too). Here is a video of Cannon and Madeline trying to ride a 1 person bouncy zebra. Madeline had her shirt off because it was in the drier, but Cannon didn't seem to care. He couldn't get enough of her. Jennies little one Addison is precious too. We didn't get her in the video because she is only 3 weeks old and she was sleeping :) I love these girls and I hope we have many more play dates!

Bah, Humbug!

Check list-
1. Tree is up and decorated- check (though Cannon takes about 15 ornaments off of the tree a day)

2. Presents are bought and wrapped- check check

3. Cannon has cute Christmas pj's - check! Though he has recently decided that he NEVER needs to sleep again

4. Beautiful snow blankets the earth to make it feel more like Christmas- NEGATIVE! There is hardly any snow. We usually have about a foot of snow this time of year. If we get any snow, it is completely melted by morning.

5. Cannon saw Santa and got a darling picture taken with him- Somewhat of a check. He saw Santa, and then cried the whole time on his lap. I picked him up and he was happy, so I put him back on Santa's lap and he cried again. The picture is cute..... if you like pictures of kids hysterically crying

6. Ward Christmas party- Check! Except Cannon decided to eat the jellybeans on the table for breakfast instead of the wonderfully prepared food from the ward. This resulted in Cannon spitting a mouthful of jellybeans on my face.
7. Spending time with family over the holidays- Not yet :( We saw some of my family in California for Thanksgiving, but we missed the Perry trip to Arizona. We have hardly seen any of Brian's family. Hopefully at the Hansen family Christmas party and on Christmas Eve.
8. Christmas Spirit? Bah- Humbug! Maybe as we get closer to Christmas and the cards start pouring in.

Calling ALL ex-BYU softballers...

I would like to send a little care package down to our lovely Jenn Whitley on her mission. If anyone wants to contribute, that would be WONDERFUL! I know she would love to hear from all of us. Maybe we can arrange cards and a little package of goodies. Leave me a comment if this is something that you are interested in!

I don't have everyones email, but I know Neta and Kate have quite the list. Maybe we can get an email going around.

Thanks!

New Post....

SOON!

I am uploading pics, changing my format to CHRISTMAS COLORS, and thinking of something witty and fun to post about....lol

(no worries....I will not do anymore Twilight posts.....at least for a while) : P
