Breaking Dawn

All of you know that I am a MAJOR Twilight fan :) Well, today they released the book cover for her 4th book of the series. Here it is above. I think the red pawn stands for Bella as a human. Weak and in the back. The queen represents her as a vampire. Because vampires are beautiful and powerful. :)

PREFACE

I'D HAD MORE THAN MY FAIR SHARE OF NEAR DEATH experiences, it wasn't somethingyou ever really got used to. It seemed oddly inevitable, though, facing death again. Like I really was marked for disaster. I'd escaped time and time again, but it kept coming back for me. Still, this time was so different from the others. You could run from someone you feared, you could try to fight someone you hated. All of my reactions were geared toward those kinds of killers - the monsters, the enemies. When you loved the one who was killing you, it left you no options. How could you run, how could you fight, when doing so would hurt that beloved one? If your life was all you had to give your beloved, how could you not give it? If it was someone you truly loved?

THOUGHTS?

There has been lots of speculation on what this means. Some people think that it is Edward killing Bella or turning her into a vampire- because she will literally have to die to become one. Others think that it is Jacob killing her because he is livid that she is changing. Some have said that they think the Volturri came for her, and that there is a choice that she must die or Edward. Stephenie Meyer has said that she likes happy endings, so I don't think that will happen. Stephenie also said that part of the book is from Jacobs point of view. So it very well could be Jacob dying inside at Bella changing. Either way, I am soooo excited for August! I PERSONALLY think that Jacob is having a hard time with Bella changing. Because he talks about wanting to fight Edward- calling him a monster and enemy- but because he loves Bella too, he is willing to die at her hand. I think its because Bella has no control over being changed (they say that it takes the newborns a while). I don't think that Bella will kill Jacob though.

Fun Fun!

So this past weekend we were able to tend my 4 year old niece Malia, my 17 month old nephew Dallin, and my 12 year old sister in law Lindsay (who was a HUGE help)- while almost everyone else headed down to Las Vegas to go see a concert with Josh Groban and a bunch of other big names. It was actually really nice to watch the kids (I would have loved to go to Vegas, but I was happy that I could help the family get some R & R). I was nervous at first, but the kids were really good! I thought that I would not want to have any more babies after this past weekend, but I found that I was actually able to manage quite well. Sure my day revolved around diaper changes, mixed nap times, snacks, dish duty, bathing, feeding meals, going on walks to the park, and numerous time watching a princess movie and Shrek- but it was nice to stay busy. My own child keeps me super busy as is, but it was fun to watch him play and interact with his cousins.

I learned a lot of new things while tending- that will help me when I have more kids in the future.

1. Never say "cool dude" to a 4 year old girl- she will get very mad at you for insinuating that she is a boy

2. When all else fails, little lolly pops are good tools for bribes

3. Never go alone to the park with 2 toddler boys that are soooo close in age. It is really hard to chase 2 kids running in different directions

4. A toy isn't really any fun until someone else starts playing with it. Then it becomes a must have wrestling match.

5. Figure out snacks and meals ahead of time. I swear I had to make like 5 different things per kid per meal.

and last but not least-

there is no such thing as resting or down time. It is a rare occurrence to have all kids napping at the same time, for the same length of time. Usually you can only afford a bathroom break and a quick snack before some commotion happens :)

Here are some fun pics to show the kiddo's in action. Dallin and Cannon are now best friends. Cannon was very jealous of me paying attention to other kids, but he got used to it after the first day. I think they will become the best of buddies as they get older.

(this picture cracks me up! Cannon climbed on there by himself and was STANDING on it! He also started shaking it and yelling like a monster. Now you guys can see why I have my hands full all day-lol )

SUNNY California

Hello Hello! It is our last day in sunny California and man has it been hot! It averaged 100 degrees in the time I was here! We did so much and I need a vacation from my vacation! I am so lucky to have such amazing friends and family. I went out to lunch and dinner a few different times with my friends. It was so nice to meet new friends and catch up with old ones. Cannon got to hang out with his buddies Vaughn, Brockton and Anthony and it was so funny to see him interact with his friends.

Then we went down to San Diego and met with family to go to Sea World. It was a BLAST! Cannon honestly had the best day ever! We got to Sea World at 11 am and started off the day with the Sesame Street show. Cannon has never watched Sesame Street before, but I now think he is hooked. He just loved it. He also went NUTS in the shark encounter and practically dove in the water with the sting rays :) We were wiped out by the end of the day! We left at 5 pm after seeing almost everything. We drove a long way home with Cannon exhausted and clinging to his new stuffed sting ray (he slept the whole 3 hours home).

Cannon and I were lucky to spend a wonderful day with Brian's cousin Jenn :) It was such a blast! We ate a yummy lunch at BJ's, and I am still dreaming about the pizookie! She is so cute and we have so much in common (including good taste in authors, movies, food, and husbands!)

I was set and ready to come back to Utah on Tuesday. However, I got a call from my best friend Jaime that halted my plans. She lives in Arizona, and she was on her way out here for a few days with her new baby Jack and 2 year old Olivia. I didn't even think twice, I decided to extend my stay a few days. I have not met baby Jack yet, so it was great to see her and meet him. Now it is making me baby hungry again (but don't worry, I don't have any news to announce-lol).

Even though it was super hot, it was nice to come out and see all of my family. Its nice to get to see my parents each month. Cannon is so important to them, and I know it is so hard for them to live in a different state then him. I am blessed to have the opportunity to see them as often as I do. Cannon loves having all of the attention. They spoil him. I swear Cannon was going on 4 walks a day to the park. He loves going outside now. He is practically asking me to his crib outside from now on. I would let him sleep outside if it allowed me a few extra hours of sleep a night (jk). Well, this post is super long now. I am going to go back to sulking about David Archuleta losing American Idol :'(

ps- here is Cannon's new suit! He is a little stud! He thinks he is James Bond :)

Well, they are called teasers for a reason! Because they leave you wanting more MORE MORE!!!!!! lol. Brittany G did Cannon's 1 year pics again :) You remember her, she is the amazing photographer that did his newborn, 6 month, and now 1 year's. She is fantastic. I really cannot describe her talent. She is so much fun to work with. It will be a few more weeks before I see the rest- but here are a few to see how the shoot went. I think it was successful! I am already debating on which ones I am going to blow up in my house. Don't be surprised if I just order Cannon wallpaper and plaster my walls :)

*My Posh Baby*

So I looooove browsing online baby boutiques (its my favorite thing to do!). One of the cutest ones is called Posh a Bye Baby. They were doing a massive search for the next face of Posh Baby. I sent in Cannon's pic- and he won! I just did it on a whim. She said that they had sooo many pics to choose from (hundreds of potential posh babies) but she died when she saw the pic that I sent in.
