It's been way too long! My own husband gives me a hard time about my lack of blogging. Sure I blog on 2 recipe blogs (www.whatyabeencooking.blogspot.com and www.eat-yourself-skinny.blogspot.com), but I am such a slacker on my family blog. I keep telling myself that people see updates and pics through facebook and EVERYONE and their mother has a facebook (yes, even my mom has a facebook), but that is no excuse!
Here is a catch up. The boys and I headed to CA on September 1st. Not to toot my own horn, but I am Wonder Woman. I fly with 2 kids 3 and under ALL.THE.TIME and not to mention ALL.BY.MYSELF! If you have not met my kids, I must inform you that they are the busiest boys on earth.
We had a really nice time in CA. We went to Universal Studios and Magic Mountain. Cannon and Lincoln love going to "Bom-Bom" and "Papa Dicks" house in California.
From CA, I flew (with my parents this time) to Kauai and stayed at my mom's friends lovely vacation home. Brian flew straight from Utah (thanks to work vacation days) and we picked him up the night we flew in. We ate wonderful food, got rockin' tans, took a train ride through a plantation (Cannon's favorite), ate more wonderful food, and drove around the island. We spend most of our time at the beach. Cannon saw sea turtles, seals, crabs and ROOSTERS all over the beach. Thats right, the island is run by chickens and roosters. Sadly, we only saw like 3 gecko's the whole trip. One night we put Cannon in the jacuzzi tub while I started to get ready to go out. I wasn't paying much attention to him, and he had dumped Brian's body wash in the tub. The bubbles grew so high, they went above the water spout and reached up to Cannon's shoulders when he was standing. I learned my lesson (even though I was standing right next to him the whole time). Lincoln learned to crow like a rooster when he wakes up, that is a delight in the wee- hours of the morning. Lincoln LOVES the sand and water. He is the funniest baby I have ever seen. You can just see the wheels turning in his cute little head. After a 9 day trip to Kauai, we flew back to CA for a few more days, and then I flew home with the boys (by myself again).
It was a 19 day trip and I am glad to be home. Vacation is fun and the food is wonderful, but its always nice to get back to your routines and there's no place like home!

Long time no see :)
Here is just a little "taste" as to what we have been up to lately. We have had a fun little summer! We love to go on walks, play at the park, play in the water, and spend time with family and friends. We have already flown to California where we spent some time at Magic Mountain and the beach. Here are a few things I've learned about being a mama to my boys
1. There is no such thing as sleeping in or a full nights sleep
2. A relaxing bath = luke warm water, dinosaurs crashing and splashing all around me, and 2 little boys who manage to pull my hair or tickle my feet (I am very ticklish)
3. My boys are very active and always on the go. Even though Lincoln isn't walking yet, they still always have places to go and people to see.
4. The harder I clean my house, the messier it gets.
5. Cannon thinks that words like "fart" and "poop" are hilarious.
6. No matter how hard I try, I can never get my boys to snuggle. Not a warm bottle (for Linky), a soft blanket, or all of the bribery in the world. They are not into snuggling and I so desperately crave the affection of these cute little guys!
So there you have it :) You can see I have been a little busy (to say the least)- but I am happy to be back and updating.

Happy Birthday Cannon!

Happy birthday to my wonderful little 3 year old :) He is my pride and joy and such a wonderful big brother. In the past year he has started to talk up a storm, play t-ball, and LOVES all things boy (dirt, motorcycles, Thomas the Train, dinosaurs). He has also started pre-school early so that he could learn to play well with other kids and listen to people other than mommy. He has been a pure joy. We still have our battles over food, Cannon would live off of Chick-Fil-A sauce, juice and frosting if he could- but all in all he is a wonderful child. We are officially binky free and he sleeps great in his big boy bed. Our next step is to conquer the dreaded POTTY TRAINING. We are so thankful to have this little energenic/adorable/crazy/silly/fun-loving boy in our life!Saturday, January 30, 2010
More Pics!
I am surviving this! Its a bit of a juggling act, and I get less time to myself, but I think I actually have a handle on things now :) Here are some more pics of the boys. They are so stinking cute. Cannon is in pre-school now and doing really well. He has started sharing and talking a ton. I love the few extra hours I have to clean and spend alone with Lincoln. We are still able to get out and do a ton of fun things and play with friends.Sunday, January 17, 2010
1 month old

My little Linc is 1 month old! It is so fun to have a baby the second time around. I wish I was this easy going with Cannon, but having a baby is such a life changing experience. I was so scared and paranoid that I was doing things wrong with Cannon, every little thing made me nervous. Lincoln seems to be a lot more easy going, but I think its because I am more easy going. Cannon seems to be adjusting much better now to Lincoln. He is still throwing quite a few tantrums and pretending not to listen, but it's slowly getting better. Hopefully these guys will be best of buds! They are both so stinking cute! Lincoln has the same little dimple chin that Cannon has. I have a feeling girls are going to be breaking down the doors and camping outside our house to get a date with my boys. I think I have my work cut out for me! As of now, having 2 kids is a little hard, a little crazy, a little un-organized...but A LOT of LOVE <3
